That looks like a great improvement to the hip-stick but I find the light weight sling that Ray has advertised is the easiest to use. It comes standard on the ATX but I bought a second for Mrs M. I also have the Hip-stick and Minelab harness with bungee shoved away in a corner.

I just use a rubber band wrapped around above the ball joint several times to stop it from popping out.
