trip to Meeka Empty trip to Meeka

Post by goldfinger Wed 10 Jun 2015, 4:04 pm

hi guys, well that was a great trip up to meeka with John and Phil, I also cought up with Graham and Biggets Kev a great bunch to go prospecting with. some good gold found by all. well over an oz between us and I got a few nice species to bash and see but a few grams in them for sure, one is a quartz beauty weighing 17.5g with lots of gold showing through and could go 10g in itself but im not smashing that one. my tally is 15 g of gold consisting of 30 pieces and the species. i also found two nice nuggets in conglomerate at a foot deep and had to chisel it out but the dirt still had a good sound to it so i took it all back home to pan.
vid soon
Martin

Gday Martin
Shame I didn't know you were in meeka, just got back monday from a nine day stint up there. Would have been good to catch up. Yeh, there's still a bit of colour around up there Laughing
cheers
