nugget spoons
heres a system I find very useful and I don't get pricked by spinny or burrs and hot dirt doesn't effect me. Use both spoons to fill each other and yah hands stay clean as well.
I use two spoons attached by a bungy cord and I simply loop them over the handle of the 7K when not in use..
If gold falls through the perforated spoon then good luck to the next person.

If anyone finds any of those black spoons in a shop let me know as I am chasing a few more.

Re: nugget spoons
Looks like an ice scoop?? Maybe buy a plastic trowel from Bunnings and just drill many small holes in it??
If you're using a 7000 or an Elite coil you'll certainly need something like this,,,,,,,,or go mad in the bush and die of frustration

Re: nugget spoons
just take a packet of sandwich bags out with you, when you have the nug in the scoop dump it in the bag seal it. then around the campfire on a table you can take your time finding the small bits, also gives you more time swinging

when I head back to camp its for relaxation and a cup of coffee, a feed and a good sleep then do it all again the next day --hopefully.
these spoons were about $5 at red dot, they have gone up in price a bit.

Re: nugget spoons
Are you still chasing those spoons Ray? I am currently in Brisbane and I have found some. I can bring some back to Perth if you want and we can organise something to get them to you from there. They are only $3 ea.
