heres this bloody 3' hole we started digging 3 weeks ago now and hopefully I will be back out there this weekend to have another go,

threw the pick in there for something to do --this was at an early stage.

it got that hot that we cranked the troopy up about 1pm and turned the air con on for about 3/4 of an hour just to cool down.

about 20 pieces have come out of this hols ---why I don't know---but who cares. They are all small but all gold.

we ended up putting a sadie coil on the 5k just so we could pinpoint and stop us from digging such a flaming big hole.

Looking good there Ray... hopefully you find the gold before you dig to china LOL

nice to fing a hole like that ray, keep working it and i would dig a few inches off the top around that hole and swing over it whilst your there. good luck and i hope it is a retirement glory hole you have stumbled upon.

Terry what the hell is going on, we are doing it all wrong, we don't even have seats to sit on when we head back for a break let alone carry one whilst detecting.

I knew we were doing something wrong...

No time to be sitting when there's gold out there to be found.

Ya tried a dish yet? Sounds like a little aggregation of them in some sort of old creekbed/wash depression??

With 20 bits and still going perhaps you can erect a gazebo It has to be easier than 20 holes that might just be a lot of junk.

we are very well looked after Phil--when we get a target there's a 95% chance its gold sometimes higher coz we didn't have many old-timers up this neck of the woods due to the summer temps and the lack of water thus the lack of junk and rusty cans etc..maybe a bullet but that's usually the extent of it.
