Well I have been cranking the sensitivity up almost full blast--18-19 and screwing back the threshold back as far as 2-6

most of the time I try to run the machine in NORMAL as the target response is chalk and cheese compared to Difficult. One less filter trying to quieten the machine down.

Depending on the ground, if I am prospecting shallow ground I will switch to high yield,

if u start getting a few Hot Rocks, I switch back to General and if the target disappears then I generally leave the target.

U have to put up with a bit of noise but hey life wasn't meant to be easy.

have a go and see if u have any luck.

I mainly have these settings for areas that have already been targeted by detectors and there are pot holes everywhere.

by the way if u are detecting for the whole day then I seriously encourage u to buy a 2nd battery and change it after 4 hours of use.

U will need to recharge the WM over night when u put the second battery back on the charger.

it seems to me that the detector is trying really hard to keep up power to the coil and as such some targets are being over looked.

detect the morning session and the arvo session.
Have a nanna nap for a couple of hours in between, the GPZ seems to dislike the midday heat.

Just my opinion.
