Someone on here uses big electromagnets?

Post by Wedgetail on Mon 12 Oct 2015, 12:07 pm

There was someone on here that uses big electromagnets prior to processing. Who was it? Steve at Horseshoe? I can't recall his username.

Yeah Les Steve has a conveyor with a electro magnet at one end and from all accounts if u have a pacemaker or steel plates in yah head u will be in trouble if u get too close.

Magnet

Post by pilbaragold on Mon 12 Oct 2015, 7:36 pm

Hi Les,
It's not an electromagnet but a 705kg permanent magnet head roller on the end of a stacker. When the tin gets to the roller it sticks to the magnet and drops down a chute when the belt moves away. Will put up a video when I can. Pic of the stacker before the grizzly and magnet head roller were fitted.
