a young couple spent the last 4-5 days detecting and sweating their asses out in GV and came into the workshop this morning to show me what they had managed to find.

The temps were in the 40's every day and night temps didn't get under 35'c. Thank god they brought a fan befor they left. They will also invest in a couple of stretchers to get up of the deck as the ground stays rather hot day in day out.

This place isn't for the faint hearted.

well apart from some shrapnel weighting about 5 grams out popped this very niece piece with a bit of quartz encrusted within.

The piece weighed 53 grams in total and it is over a oz and and some in gold.

well done and thoroughly deserved.

post pic later...

regards
