Some of you will own a rifle of some kind as I do. But what dya reckon of this Aussie Senator's views on Australia's gun laws?

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-11-17/david-leyonhjelm-discourages-us-from-adopting-stronger-gun-laws/6948656

I reckon they're OK as they are. Sure crims have guns but they only seem to use 'em on each other - mainly. I'm not convinced that I'd like to see open slather on having anything from a Glock 9mm to a fully auto assault rifle or grenade launcher. The nutters in the Aussie bush are bad enough without giving 'em automatic weapons.

I've fired my .22 Hornet only once in the last ten years and that was about three weeks ago to get a 'roo for my Wongi mates. They ain't flash with cash ATM.

BTW - do you know that it's technically illegal for a white fella to drop a 'roo without having a roo shooter's licence but it's acceptable for an aboriginal to do it? Personally, I'm not mad on 'roo and it stinks to high heaven when being gutted!
