geez spare me lord, I read that someone does a report about the GPZ and its unbias.

so what are they saying that when I give a report I'm being bias towards the 7.
Well u are dam right coz it finds me gold and this season has already been an exception coz the machine has certainly paid for itself.

some of these clowns out there that write such stupid one liners need to get away from there putters, buy a 7 and learn how to use it for themselves.

trust me it will take a few months to learn the machine so long as u use it regularly it will become a valuable piece of equipment.

as far as depth goes, I don't particularly give 2 bob if I have to dig 800mm to find my target and generally it will be gold especially if I am in an area that doesn't have any form of rubbish let alone bullets.

if u find it noisy on occasions then tinker with the machine--go to general instead of high yield-difficult instead of normal, sensitivity down from 20, threshold down from being in the 40's if u r in river wash then adjust again, maybe try general and deep. auto smoothing is off then turn On.

I do leave gold behind intentionally and its generally the stuff u have to put a finger on the coil trying to find it--sorry I couldn't be bothered, or its in a heap u have pushed aside and u have to put the coil down hard on the pile to nail a response.

I have a high end detector and I'm not looking for that sort of gold. it doesn't pay me enough to start scabbing just yet plus I'm getting to old for that sort of carry on, that's something the mrs can do in her spare time.

its a real pity we are all dying so young coz I wouldn't mind seeing what machines are coming out in 50years time.

Yes Ray, the 7 is a gun detector and my trip last year helping my mates run a tag along prospecting trip proved that day in,day out
I haven't tried the 7 since the upgrade but my machine was getting more than twice the gold of people using the 5,even with my crappy health.

The funny thing was most the people bagging the 7 had never even used it......going only by rumours in the Laverton caravan park, or they tried it for half an hour and didn't like it.....F,,,,ing experts !
Now I say nothing, just can't be bothered with people that can't be told.......stuff em !

anyway we are getting off the subject!!
do the 7's really take some getting used too??
im mean 5's were pretty complicated ( 67 buttons and knobs ,a million channels ,fine gold etc etc )
i thought the 7's were user friendly!!

AngloGold Ashanti's Mponeng gold mine, located south-west of Johannesburg in South Africa, is currently the deepest mine in the world. The operating depth at Mponeng mine ranged from between 2.4km to more than 3.9km below the surface by the end of 2012

*** It has been reported Minelab are endeavouring to match this with the 7500. Rolling Eyes
