radiator came adrift
me mates troopy had its radiator break the top clamp which is soldered to the top tank.
something that is very rare.
broken fan, stuffed radiator and hoses to boot
got a new radiator, new radiator cap, 2 new hoses and a new 8 blade fan and away we went again.
if u haven't changed your water pump for a while then its well advised to. This troopy hasn't done all that many kilometers so all good.

Re: radiator came adrift
ouch, that doesnt sound cheap and a bugga to fix out bush. worth a look at all vehicle radiator mounting and maybe beef it up a bit for the corrugations and rough conditions out there. good post as its something usually overlooked.
cheers.
