Hi Ray,
Just wondering are you looking for a new vehicle if so what do you have in mind ?
My hilux is 15 yrs old now and I'm thinking I will have to up grade soon and get something a bit bigger and comfortable for that nullibor crossing, a newer troopy would be nice not sure if they come in auto as my left leg is gammy and it's getting hard for me to use the clutc

I'm looking at a V8 troopy and I will deck it out the way I want it.
about 2009 onwards.
there were some at auction a week ago but they went for $24K plus the GST and their commission so makes it about $29K then u still have to license it etc.

Have a look at a Amarok Snapper .8 speed auto, drives like a limo and uses significantly less diesel than anything on the market. But you will need to spend some bucks if you want to get amongst the Spinifex. I have had mine beefed up, suspension and height wise so far so good. You can camp in the back tailgate down quite comfortably unless you miss the milk crate step and end up arse up with broken bones like me.

Yes the Amarck looks the goods and good value for money, one of the outback shows on tv are using both the manual and auto and they seem happy so far.
I've always had a soft spot for the troopys which likely comes from my younger years spent exploring in my panel van........oh the memory's !

Any idea if the earlier troopy with the turbo straight six is.worth a look ?,my prospecting mate has a ripper and he just might sell it
