Re: selling gold
the old story if u r happy with the deal then by all means go for it.
whatever u do don't send species... u will be pissssed off
personally I deal with the Mint for the ease of doing business.
or u can send your gold to Focus Metals in Kal--talk to Elvis..
regards

Re: selling gold
Also uses the mint, my understanding is most of the other gold dealers in perth end up selling to the mint anyway so may as well cut out the middle man.

Re: selling gold
I dealt with Elvis at Focus Metals in Kal on Thursday.
You are part of the process from arrival to the end and he shows you all the weights etc as you go.
You could even sit down and have a beer while he melts it if you wish.
Very transparent and professional. I am more than happy with them.
They pay according to the Perth Mint price at that point and it is then fixed.
You get the silver at the going rate as well.
Really no different than dealing with any of the other refiner/buyers apart from being involved and thus no chance of questions about dodgy weights etc. (not suggesting that is the case but being there removes any doubt/disputes at all)
