ZED Battery charger doing odd things??
Has anyone observed the battery charger on a ZED flashing a red fault light when charging in 12 volt. Mine does but it doesn't do it on 240 volt. Nevertheless it still charges the battery on 12 volt.
Thoughts anyone?

You have to connect it directly to your battery using the supplied leads if you want to charge via 12 volt. I charge through an inverter.
Had the same problem with my 3030.
G'day, first post here.

Thanks Alan and Welcome!
I'll try your suggestion. But that begs the question "why do ML provide a ciggy lighter adapter"?

Re: ZED Battery charger doing odd things??
I have a 2001 Prado set up as a tourer, with dual batteries and a dedicated auxiliary plug in the dash and in the rear for the fridge.
These plugs are connected via 6 B&S wire and the 12v charger works fine in them.
However, if I try and use the cig lighter plug I get the red flashing error code.
The wires feeding the standard ciggy outlets in 99% of cars have insufficient wiring to carry the load.
As mentioned above, if that describes you, connect straight to the battery using the alligator clips,
and all will be well.
