modded 5000

I have used a moded 5k and must admit that I really couldn't tell any benefit from the $25 mod that woody does, plays any real part in finding gold.

Just like his noise cancelling filter that he produces -- not sure if that works all that good
maybe some of u folks out there that might be using one could let me know.

Woody doesn't answer emails so left in the loop.

Maybe this new 14" coil from coiltek will do all that its supposed to do.

Hi Ray, I bought one of woody's noise and rf filters, found it to be of no real improvement for the areas I was working, maybe others have had more success, would be keen to hear

It may ( or may not) have its benefits in some interference prone areas .. just saying

Yep, gave the filter a shot for a few months and found no real difference for my mind. The short lead to the box was very touch sensitive, so I chucked it. Im sure somwhere in Aus it must have its benefits but in the Pilbara im not so sure. The EMI in this joint really tests you patients at times. Grrrrr
