I have basically copied that setup, but have used good quality velcro so it all comes off and it can be folded up again
The B&Z and speaker work brilliantly

hi goldstrijk/Pete. Any chance of a pic mate? want to do the same thing as Brownies, but not keen on drilling holes in the thing. Also would like it to still be able to fold up and not sure if it's bolted on if it's still can.

No holes to be drilled. Just replace the original ones with same gauge stainless steel self tapping screws that are 10mm longer.

Yeah Brown dog, now I've got my hands on it I can see the screws. Just want to mount the speaker to the left a little so it still folds up to the compact unit to chuck in a backpack,

Reefdog70

the B&Z needs to go on the back of the machine --out of the way and adjust the design of the bracket so it folds down properly..if at all possible.

and get those brackets down to me..

stay tuned folks if u have a 2300---

some more exciting innovations are heading your way. We have a great bunch of exciting engineers working on this project....well sort of....

a couple of misfits would be more closer to the target.,,

.i think these guys think straighter than the originals.

sdc 2300-mods Empty SDC Mods

Post by Moneybox Thu 02 Apr 2015, 11:44 am

For all the ATX knockers just take a look at the SDC. Although this machine obviously finds a lot of small gold there would very few in use that haven'y been modified in some way. Ours was useless without the cable adapter and a decent set of Sun Ray Gold earphones. The noise was uncontrollable. The ATX comes with all the adjustments to have it handle all conditions.

I don't know about that, mine hasn't had any mods to it yet and has paid for itself in only a few months.
I'm quite happy with this machine and what it produces for me.

Yes nosralt it must work better in some conditions. I was just put off by it's cranky behavior. We just spent $4000 and simply couldn't use it at all in Hawaii because it was too noisy to use with the earphones and we were too embarrassed to walk a public beach with the constant noise it produced. At least the after market guys were quick to get in on the act to sort it out but that was another $300 on top of an already expensive machine.
Perhaps we're spoiled by first buying the ATX and GMT. I bought it for Sandra for her birthday and all she wanted was her old machine back.

Waikiki Beach where all the rich drop their pants lol! We tried several of the beaches but didn't do very well. We've got a big 50mm gold ear ring but I'm yet to drop into some alibrite to see what happens.
