Re: 40 mile camping area
that's right mate--all the way along the WA coast the government have brought in this 28 day stay
--maybe if the local van parks played the game now the boom has busted, holiday makers would eventually return but when it costs about $400 for a piece of concrete u can understand why the grey nomads don't support the industry.

Re: 40 mile camping area
maybe the Gov wants them to share the love around...but at least it gives the locals a chance to find a spot in those local joints..

Re: 40 mile camping area
Don't gimme the shitttzz about "tourism" and councils and shires and govt agencies. I've listened to 'em on the regional stations goingon about "replacing the mining boom with tourism,,,,,,,"
Lady, go the toilet block in Leonora or Meeka and have a shower with yer feet in someone else's raw sewage, try and eat yer evening meal whilst smeliing the liquid overflow from human excrement running across the van park.
And people wonder why I have my own lease on which to camp. Tourism in WA is a bloody joke.

You are right about Meeka, Wedgetail. I only stayed there twice....First and last. The local Council should make them bulldoze it and start again.
