Patch finding coil
Has anyone used the 30x7 patch finding coil. What's your thoughts? What other coils are you using to find new patches?

Re: Patch finding coil
have a patch finder and its only downfall is that its a bit wobbly but any coil will find a patch as nuggets will be on the surface, then once found its a change of coil and take your time to extract the most befor u tell your friends..

Yeah, I've had one since they came out from Nugget Finder (I think?). They are a good coil that cover ground real quick. Depth is understandably not great due to the design but that's the way they are made to suit that wide coverage. They react very well with a crisp signal noise and have a reasonable depth. They'll find that first piece that could lead to bigger things but they aren't a coil for depth.
Due to other commitments I haven't had the chance to use mine much for years but it did find one reasonable patch when I first got it. It was actually bought to bolt to a "push trolley" on a special gig I had going at the time.
The 14 inch CT Elite has to be a front runner as a patch finder. It has depth, it has sensitivity. Only drawback is the marginally heavier weight (more copper in 'em) and pinpointing ability.

If anyone has a 30x7 that's taking up room, would be happy to buy it off them
