Bunnings have motion detectors for sale. DRIVEWAY ALERT by Swann

$35 set the detector up outside and place the chime in your van. The chime has low and high response settings.

These are the same as u hear when u go into some front doors of shops. a two tone signal goes off.
it will certainly wake u up and give u plenty of time to grab a nulla nulla.

3 C type batteries and a 9 volt battery and u r connected.

I have one in my workshop and a couple at my home. They work well.

Probably no good for the shop but out bush you could wire it up to a few kgs of Nitro Prill and an electronic fuse. No need to climb out of the swag to stop the boogey man stealing the baked beans.

good way to quieten the mrs down--if u don't get her u will certainly frighten the crap out of her.
